The race proven Supermotoland A-Kit is a very effective and reliable engine tune for the FS450 and SMR450 supermoto race bikes. The kit consists of a High compression wossner piston, combined with a high performance racing cam, and a Vortex ECU with maps tuned to give the best power options whilst maintaining drive-ability and good throttle response. Combined with some cylinder head port cleaning and the correct base and head gaskets to obtain optimum valve to piston clearances and squish band measurements.
This is an engine performance kit for the 2016 to 2026 Husqvarna FS450 and KTM SMR450 supermoto bikes.
All work must be completed/ installed at the supermotoland workshop in Murcia, Spain. So engines can be sent to us, or the complete bike can be delivered. If you send your own bike then you have the added option of training, coaching and advanced bike set up at our own private testing track, as well as a choice of three other nearby tracks. (a great way to combine a winter bike tune up and training, before returning to your own country with a bike and rider in best form)
The A-kit must be run on 98 (European 98 ron) gasoline or better. The kit is very reliable and when used with putoline SPR+ 5w-50 engine oil, piston life and performance is good for upwards of 40 to 50 hours.
The kit will need you to purchase separately, an aftermarket exhaust pipe like the stereo DVR system or Akrapovic exhaust. the kit also works well with fmf, VM racing stereo, and yoshimura exhaust systems.
Check out the graph in the product gallery to see the power improvement on the Supermotoland dyno. On our dyno a stock bike produces 54 HP and the A-kit takes it up to 64 HP (nearly a 20% power increase). Improvements are also made to the quick shifter, engine braking and initial throttle smoothness and response. On the 2023 to 2026 models the shifter will now also work between 1st and 2nd gear changes.
The vortex ECU will come with a selection of 10 different fuel and ignition maps, including a map for the race start and for the noise test. these can all be selected and used by easily turning the x10 dial on the ecu. Fuel levels can also be trimmed for fine tuning (instructions will be provided) by using the 3 fuel trim dials on the ecu for low, mid and hi throttle position fuel trimming.
A 2nd injector kit can also be added at an additional cost to further boost power and drive ability.
